WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A person was shot in the shoulder while driving along Ranch to Market 620 near Pearson Ranch Road in southern Williamson County Thursday morning.

Sheriff Robert Chody tweeted the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after he was shot around 10:20 a.m. Authorities say the incident started in Austin’s jurisdiction but then moved into Williamson County.

A spokeswoman on scene said there were a couple bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle and that a K9 was working to try to find a gun in the area.

Authorities are working to figure out where the incident began and what led up to the shooting.
