SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — Dozens of patrol vehicles and motorcycles formed a long line of lights as escorts for the funeral procession of a San Marcos police officer who died in the line of duty.

Officer Kenneth Copeland’s funeral is 11 a.m. Wednesday at a San Antonio church. Officers traveled with the hearse 43 miles to the Community Bible Church at 2477 North Loop 1604. He was a 19-year veteran with SMPD and leaves behind a wife and four children.
