Latest NWS Harvey projections, impacts in Austin, Central Texas

Widespread heavy rainfall continues to be the main threat with Harvey. Forecast rain totals through midweek are expected to range from 10-20 widespread east of I-35. Isolated amounts as high as 30 inches are possible as well, especially south of I-10. Widespread flash flooding impacts are expected. For the I-35 corridor 5-15 inches are possible.
Although Harvey is now a tropical storm 40-60 mph wind gusts will be possible in the orange areas while 30-40 mph gusts will be possible in the orange areas. Also, a Wind Advisory has been issued for most locations indicated in yellow.
