2017: driest May in seven years?

Austin (KXAN) – Unless Camp Mabry posts more than eight tenths of an inch of rain by midnight, 2017 will go on the books as the driest May since 2010, when Austin got only 1.88 inches. May is typically Austin’s wettest month. We normally expect 4.44 inches of rain, but Camp Mabry has only received 2.84 inches so far this month, putting us 1.60 inches below average.
