Fierce Winter Storm Missing Us

  A huge winter storm pulled out of the southwestern U.S. early today and headed rapidly northeast, just grazing Texas with snow and ice, but creating damaging non-thunderstorm winds from Lubbock to El Paso. This storm is actually bringing drier weather to our area, clearing the low clouds, fog and drizzle, though pulling in some chillier air late tonight.  The Durango ski resort sent us this photo this morning, after 18″ of new snow, but many areas received even more, including 2 feet in Flagstaff, AZ!
