Texas Rangers Caravan stops in Longview

In a little over three weeks, pitchers and catchers will report to spring training for the Texas Rangers.

Monday the club’s annual caravan made a stop in Longview.

But unlike other years when they just meet and greet fans and sign autographs, Rangers catcher Robinson Chirinos, reliever Nick Gardewine, and first base coach Steve Buechelle first stopped at the Buckner Family Hope Center in Longview, a place that provides help to families in need.  And while many of the folks on hand are anxious to see the team return to the post-season, their interaction surely brought a smile to their face.
