Crash injures 5, including 2 boys and 2 teens in Del Valle

DEL VALLE, Texas (KXAN) – A two-vehicle collision injured five people including two teens and two boys in Del Valle Monday evening, said the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and Austin-Travis County EMS.

It happened at about 6:14 p.m. in the 6900 block of Wolf Lane between Pearce Lane and SH 71, said ATCEMS. The crash included a rollover, and at least one person was ejected from a vehicle, medics said.

One teenage boy was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries, medics said.

STAR Flight transported one boy to Dell Children’s Medical Center with serious, potentially critical injuries, ATCEMS said.

A man in his 20s and another teenage boy were taken by an ambulance to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with potentially serious injuries. And the second boy was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center with potentially serious injuries. The injuries for these three were not expected to be life-threatening, ATCEMS said.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office said that the crash closed Wolf Lane and that the Texas Department of Public Safety is on the way and that they will take over the investigation when they arrive.
