Austin-area school delays and cancellations

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The following Austin-area schools and school districts have decided to delay or cancel school Friday after a rare snowstorm hit Central Texas. All city of Austin offices and facilities will open at 10 a.m. Friday.

  • Austin Can Academy — Canceled Friday
  • Austin Community College — Two-hour delay
  • Austin ISD — Canceled Friday
  • Bastrop ISD — Canceled Friday
  • Coupland ISD — Two-hour delay
  • Del Valle ISD — Canceled Friday
  • Eanes ISD – Canceled Friday
  • Elgin ISD — Canceled Friday
  • Fayetteville ISD — Two-hour delay
  • Flatonia ISD — Two-hour delay
  • Giddings ISD – Two-hour delay
  • Hays CISD – Canceled Friday
  • Huston-Tillotson University — 10 a.m. start
  • IDEA Public Schools — Canceled Friday
  • Johnson City ISD — Two-hour delay
  • KIPP Austin Public Schools — Canceled Friday
  • La Grange ISD — Two-hour delay
  • Lexington ISD — 10 a.m. start
  • Lockhart ISD — Canceled Friday
  • Luling ISD — Two-hour delay
  • Manor ISD — Canceled Friday
  • Pflugerville ISD — Two-hour delay
  • San Marcos CISD — Two-hour delay
  • Seminary of the Southwest — Two-hour delay
  • Smithville ISD — Two-hour delay
  • St. Edward’s University — Two-hour delay
  • Strickland Christian School — Canceled Friday

  • University of Texas at Austin — 10 a.m. start
