CEDAR CREEK, Texas (KXAN) — A Silver Alert was activated for a missing 68-year-old woman in Bastrop County. Around 2 p.m. Friday, officials said they found the woman safe.

In an update Thursday, officials said Mordell Allen was seen at a motel and Walmart in the US 290/Interstate 35 area.

She was wearing a white cotton hoodie and carrying a blue bag or blanket, along with a large black purse. She is believed to have purchased several items, including a white laundry basket, that she may be carrying.

On Friday, the Austin Police Department said they were helping in the search for Allen. On Friday morning at 10 a.m., she was seen at the CVS Pharmacy located on South Congress Avenue.

Allen, who has a cognitive impairment, is described by the Department of Public Safety as a black female, 5-feet tall, weighing 127 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

She was seen Tuesday wearing a white cotton jacket, blue jeans, black shoes, a black purse and carrying a blue duffel bag. Authorities say she was seen on Tuesday walking on Texas Oak Drive at 7 p.m. in a subdivision about three miles south of the intersection of State Highway 21 West and Farm to Market 812.

Officials believe her disappearance poses a threat to her own health and safety. Anyone with information on her location is asked to call the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office at 512-549-5100.
