KYOTO, Japan (KXAN) — For the second time in two weeks, boars have been filmed going on a wild rampage through the Japanese city of Kyoto, according to NBC News.
A pair of wild boars charged into a Kyoto school Monday morning, trying to break through glass doors to get inside. Cell phone video showed at least one boar was able to enter the school, before running upstairs toward a crowd of students as screams filled the school.
Students were evacuated from the school and officials say the boars were shot with a tranquilizer gun and caught in nets.
It’s not the first time boars have shut down part of the city, a single wild boar fractured a man’s arm and then injured a construction worker during an incident caught on camera last month. The boar in the chaotic November incident fell into a moat and died.
In October, a boar rampage in October was similarly caught on film in Heide, Germany. Four people were injured and one person’s finger was bitten off.
