SAN MARCOS (KXAN) — Buyers (and drivers) beware: there will be some changes around the outlet malls in San Marcos to account for increased holiday shopping traffic.
There will be more police officers at the malls themselves, as well as controlling traffic near Centerpoint Road.
Two exits on Interstate 35 will shut down from Thursday at noon until Friday at 11 p.m. The southbound Centerpoint Road exit and the northbound McCarty Lane exit are closing.
Shoppers and employees at Tanger Outlets and San Marcos Premium Outlets will be able to park for free at San Marcos High School at 2601 Rattler Road, and then can take a free shuttle. The shuttle runs from 5:30 p.m. Thursday to 10:45 p.m. Friday.
