Texas beats Kansas behind huge 1st quarter

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas moved back to .500 with a 42-27 win over Kansas Saturday night at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns scored 28 points in the first quarter and then had to hold on as Kansas kept the game within two possessions for most of the second half.

Texas travels to West Virginia next week looking to become bowl eligible for the first time in three season
