AUSTIN (KXAN) — A fire that broke out at the Southside Flying Pizza on South Lamar Boulevard was caused by an electrical issue in the back office.

The fire started just before midnight. Before firefighters were able to put out the fire, it did reach the gas station next door and caused $5,000 worth of damage there.

The restaurant suffered $100,000 worth of structure damage. It’s not known at this time if the restaurant will open Friday morning.
