Man found dead in Waller Creek identified

AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin police were investigating after a body was found in Waller Creek Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to 11th Street and Red River Street at about 1:30 p.m.

According to Austin-Travis County EMS, medics pronounced a man dead at the scene. He was identified Monday as Daniel Michael, 43.

Officers say they do not consider the death as suspicious. The Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release a cause of death.
