Nearly $90K worth of jewelry stolen from north Austin store

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police are looking for a man and a woman who they say robbed $86,000 worth of jewelry from a North Austin store.

Police say the couple came into the Spence Diamonds in the Domain on Friday and asked to try on a two ring set. Once the clerk put the rings on the woman’s finger, the couple ran out the door.

The man is in his mid-30s, 6 feet 2 inches tall and heavy set. He is clean shaven with a buzz cut. The woman is also in her mid-30s, 5 feet 2 inches tall with a petite build. She has dark brown hair with blond highlights as well as a tattoo on her left forearm.
