If you want to get “lit” literally, there is no better place to get your glow on than the Trail of Lights. Hospitality Director Toni Kelliher stopped by with tips for throwing holiday parties from home or at the Trail of Lights. Yes, you read it right. You can host your own party in the center of the Trail of Lights. This would be perfect for a business or family gathering. You can host 50-2,000 people under their canopies. It’s fully decorated, and you’ll have staff onsite. Cookies and hot chocolate are provided for when you’re enjoying the lights. Your party will get an hour before the general admission gates open, and an hour after opening. You can use lanterns to decorate if you don’t want something to fall over and break. Berries are a perfect holiday staple and will add color to the mix. Get items from your local craft store like glitter and pine cones to make a statement. Your guests will feel warm and cozy in your abode. December 10th is the grand opening of the Trail of Lights in Zilker Park. For event information and tickets, go to austintrailoflights.org.
