Ice skating at Whole Foods is back in season

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Feel like taking in a little winter fun despite the lack of snow or ice in Austin? Celebrating its 12th consecutive year, Ice Skating on the Plaza is returning to Whole Foods flagship store in downtown Austin.

Starting Sunday, families can visit the rink from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily through January 7.

New this year, attendees will have a chance to participate in Skate for a Cause Day on December 18.

The event benefits Boneshaker, whose mission is to inspire kids to lead healthy and active lifestyles. Skate for a Cause Day will feature several activities, including a photo booth, t-shirt screen printing

Admission to the ice skating rank is $10 and and that price includes skates.
