Man survives 12-foot fall from rock wall near Shoal Creek

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man will spend his Thanksgiving recovering in the hospital after surviving a 12-foot fall from a bridge near Shoal Creek Thursday afternoon.

Austin-Travis County EMS along with first responders were called to the 800 block of West Sixth Street just before 1:20 p.m. Once on scene they found that a man in his 40’s had fallen off a rock wall into Shoal Creek.

The man was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.
