AUSTIN (KXAN) — Flying out from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport this Thanksgiving holiday? The airport now has more parking available to meet the surge in demand.

About 485 new spaces are available on the top level of Garage 1, closest to the terminal. Premium valet parking also moved to a new location on the third level of Garage 1, where you can leave the parking to the staff at the airport for $27 a day. Whichever level you choose for parking, make sure to arrive to the terminal at least two hours before your departure during peak hours (5 a.m. – 8 a.m., 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.) and 90 minutes for all other times.

You can call the airport at 512-530-3300 for real-time, 24/7 parking updates. Lots and rates are available at http://austintexas.gov/department/airport-parking.

A newly opened Park and Zoom is providing around 1,200 new, covered spots across the street from the Hilton Austin Airport Hotel. The lot will expand to 2,000 spots in the coming weeks. Learn more at http://www.parkandzoom.com.

You an also now track real-time line speeds at all three Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoints (excluding Pre-Check lanes) online at www.abia.org, click on “Travel Tips,” or directly at http://aus.tsa.iinside.com.

In appreciation of those serving in the United States military, airport concessionaires Delaware North Companies (DNC) and Paradies Lagardère will offer free meals to military personnel.
