LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) — A natural gas leak on Ranch to Market 2243 in Leander temporarily forced drivers to find a different route as crews work on repairing the problem. The road was reopened at around 4:30 p.m.

Leander police say they had to close RM 2243 between North Bagdad Road and Greener Drive around 3:30 p.m.

The roads were initially expected to be closed for the next eight hours. The gas line has been shut off while repairs are made.
