You might know her from roles in Jane the Virgin and Orange is the New Black, but Diane Guerrero is now making the round as author of her new memoir, In the Country We Love — The story of her parents’ deportation when she was just 14. Amanda sat down with her recently at The Texas Book Festival to talk about the book, and how the experience made her who she is today. Diane talked about how her career as an actress and sharing other people’s stories helped her in sharing her own in the book.
