AUSTIN, (KXAN) — Six people were arrested at an Anti-Trump protest that was held at the Texas State Capitol Sunday evening.

Sgt. Victor Taylor, Department of Public Safety spokesperson, said they can confirm that six people were transported to the Travis County Jail. The six people were all from Austin and arrested around 9:10 p.m.

Most of the charges were misdemeanors except for one man who allegedly assaulted someone and a teen who is accused of assaulting a public servant. Troopers say in addition to a felony aggravated assault, Jarred Roark, 34, is facing charges for resisting and evading arrest.

List of people arrested and charges they are facing:

  • Jade Tabitha Shackelford, 19, arrested for felony assault on public servant
  • Joseph Wayne George, 36, arrested for interference with public duty
  • Jason Peterson, 30, arrested for interference with public duty and resisting arrest
  • Taylor Tomas Chase, 21, arrested for interference with public duty and resisting arrest
  • Samuel Benjamin Lauber, 21, arrested for interference with public duty and resisting arrest

This come just four days after another anti-Trump rally at the Capitol ended with two people arrested for assault and interference with public duties.

Last Wednesday, University of Texas at Austin students blocked both Congress Avenue and First Street bridges as they marched throughout Austin chanting a wide variety of anti-Trump slogans.
