How to Make Lemon Fig Wontons

The upcoming Babes Brunch on Nov. 13th at the Peached Social House is going to be serving up plenty of both. Chef Bethany DiBaggio dropped by with more. In preparation for the event, we made some lemon fig wontons. They’ll be served as an appetizer at the event, but you can make them on your own too. First take your wonton wrappers. You can get them at any store that sells Asian goods. You’ll be using poached figs soaked in a red wine, raspberries and white sugar mixture. Place the fig on the wonton wrapper, and brush the edges of the wrapper with egg wash so it sticks together well. Fold the wrapper around the fig, and twist at the top. Brush more egg wash along the outside, and then place in the fryer. Peached Social House is located on North Lamar.
