Tails will be wagging soon as some of chicest dog houses around will be on display for Barkitecture 2016. Chelsea Kloss is a participating interior designer that was here to tell us more, as well as what we need to do if we want to create the perfect canine casa. 16 dog houses will be on display for this event, and available for purchase during a silent auction. The event is free, and completely volunteer driven. A photo bus and face painting opportunities will be there, so this is a family event. This is a great opportunity to come out, and get ideas for building your own dog house. Build a dog house that meets the requirements of your pet. Size, activeness, and the amount of time the dog spends indoors and outdoors are things to consider. Pick materials specific to the location. Recycled materials can build beautiful dog houses, so see what you might already have laying around in your garage. Barkitecture benefiting Austin Pets Alive is happening Saturday, Nov. 12th from 12-4 p.m. at Jo’s Coffee on South Congress. For more information go to barkitectureatx.com.
