BASTROP COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A photo of the type of car connected to the murder of Amber Taylor, 28, has been released by the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies are asking for your help locating the car.
The black 2003 Mercedes-Benz C230K 4-door sedan, with Texas license plate FKR-6345, may have a missing or recently replaced driver’s side window. Police say the car’s windshield on the passenger side is cracked, the vehicle has minor rear bumper damage and the paint on the hood is faded.
Anyone who has seen the car or its occupants since Oct. 30 are asked to call the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office. If anyone comes across the car, they are asked to stay away and call 911.
On Oct. 31 at 4:43 a.m., a passerby called authorities to report a woman lying on the road at the intersection of FM 535 and Wolf Lane. The Travis County medical examiner determined Taylor died from a gunshot wound and her death ruled a homicide.
Police said the shooting may be drug cartel-related, following recent murders in the Del Valle area.
