It’s prime planting time, and Lance Roberson stopped by the studio to let us in on what plants are perfect for planting in the fall season. He even gives us tips on protecting our water pipes when the temperatures decide to drop. First we talked about mums. Fall Mums are perfect for autumn gardens. They provide array of colors and bloom shapes. The blooms even last for weeks! We then talked about mixing cabbages with violas. They both work really well in the fall. Grasses are another plant that work well. They hold their shape really well, but will die fast once the colder temperatures hit. Talking about colder weather, Lance mentioned the importance of covering your water irrigation. Pipes do freeze and covering them with a recycled pool noodle will do the trick.
