We all love a pretty house plant to bring some green to the situation, but Articulture Designs takes it to whole new, and very cool level. Owner and Principal Designer, Monique Capanelli stopped by to show us how to make a mini living wall. Empty a picture frame, and glue on some mesh and grow cloth. Add a hanger to the back of the frame, so you can put it on the wall. We used a glue that is safe for plants. Put a little bit of glue on the frame, and press on your moss to get it to stay. The glue will need to settle for 20-30 minutes, and then the frame will be ready to hang. Put your frame in an area that receives a lot of light, and has good air flow. To maintain the frame, spritz it with water. These tiny living walls are a signature creation at Articulture Designs. On Saturday, November 19th you’ll be able to make your own mini living wall at Articulture. They’ll be hosting an event from 3:30-5:30 p.m. All materials will be provided including wine, beer and soft drinks. These living walls are perfect for gift giving or sprucing up your home with some plant art. Articulture Designs is located on Manchaca Road.
