GEOGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) — A 46-year-old Killeen man is in jail accused of robbing two banks back-to-back in Williamson County on Tuesday.

Georgetown police say Alan David Heji robbed the Capital One Bank at 1011 W. University Ave. at 9:30 a.m. Surveillance video from the bank showed the man came in with a wig on and demanded money from the teller.

Less than an hour or so later, Round Rock responded to a robbery at the Citizens National Bank. Police say after the suspect robbed the bank on West Palm Boulevard, someone from the bank followed the suspect to a nearby church parking lot where they saw the suspect get into a car.

The Good Samaritan was able to notify authorities and a short time later, the suspect, identified as Heji, was apprehended near the Dell campus.

Heji is currently in the Williamson County Jail charged with two counts of robbery.
