A Bloody Good Cocktail for Halloween

A creepy cocktail can add the right amount of scare to your Halloween bash. Owner and Operator of The Moloko Bar Charlie Valentine stopped by to make us a “Droogs Blood,” a Halloween milk cocktail. This is a new East Austin cocktail bar influenced by cinematic surrealism and the Austin rock ‘n’ roll community. Here are the ingredients we used to make a “Droogs Blood.”

  • 1/2-ounce of vodka
  • 1-ounce of a mixed berry liquor
  • 1-ounce of milk
  • 1/4-ounce of cream
  • 1/4-ounce of pomegranate syrup/grenadine
  • 1 small spoonful of sugar

After mixing your ingredients, shake for about 15 seconds with ice.You can serve this drink on the rocks, but we just poured it into a martini glass. We garnished the drink with a bit of cherry bitters. It makes the drink look nice and bloody! The Moloko Bar is on East 12th Street.
