Texas State issues warning after another student sexually assaulted

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — Texas State University Police are investigating another sexual assault case that reportedly happened on Thursday at 2:30 p.m.

Police say a suspect has been identified in the assault at San Gabriel Hall dormitory, and add that the victim and the suspect know each other. Police say they are not releasing any more information while the case is active. In September police launched another investigation into a reported sexual assault on campus at Bexar Hall.

Earlier this October, a 27-year-old man who was working at Texas State University student housing was accused of sexually assaulting a female student. Heriberto Solis, who works for Grande Communications, was called to the Bobcat Village Apartments to complete a work order. The victim said he assaulted her until her roommate came home and she was able to escape to the bathroom.

Solis was arrested and charged with sexual assault. He is currently out of jail on a $20,000 bond.
