Masked bank robber flees with cash in Granger

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Williamson County Sheriff’s Deputies are looking for a man that robbed the Granger National Bank Monday morning.

According to deputies, the man walked into the bank at around 10:30 a.m. wearing a mask and gloves. Handing a sack to the teller, he demanded money, but never showed a weapon.

The man fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police believe the suspect is possibly driving a tan two-door pickup truck.

The man is described as a white male wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, long-sleeve shirt and jeans.

Less than one hour later, police in Leander reported the Compass Bank on US Highway 183 was robbed by a man, but in that case he left in a sedan.
