Man killed in crash involving Capital Metro bus

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man is dead after being colliding with a Capital Metro bus in Northeast Austin early Saturday afternoon.

It happened at the 4600 block of Pecan Brook Drive at around 12:23 p.m.

Austin/Travis County EMS performed CPR on the driver of the vehicle who was a man in his 60’s. Medics then transported him the University Medical Center Brackenridge where police say he later died.

Medics say 6 passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash. One passenger was sent to St. David’s Medical Center with minor injuries.
