KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — Starting at 9 a.m. Friday, the southbound entrance ramp to Interstate 35 just south of Ranch to Market 150 in Kyle will be closed.
The Texas Department of Transportation says drivers heading southbound on the frontage road can enter the freeway using the ramp immediately prior to Ranch to Market 150. The closure of the ramp is part of the $9 million Mobility35 ramp reversal project that will add one new ramp and five existing ramps will be modified between RM 150 and the Blanco River.
TxDOT says the project will improve the traffic flow along that stretch of the freeway. The ramp project is expected to be completed next summer.
- Reverse the southbound ramp configurations between RM 150 and Yarrington Road
- Reverse the northbound ramp configuration between Yarrington Road and RM 150
- Relocate the northbound Yarrington Road exit ramp
- Construct a new northbound entrance ramp at the location of the existing Yarrington Road exit ramp
