ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A man’s body has been found near “the Round Rock” in Brushy Creek, according to Round Rock police.

Officers are on scene at Chisholm Trail Road, just west of Interstate 35. First responders were called at 1:25 p.m. Friday by people who reported seeing what they thought was either a mannequin or a body in the water.

Officers say it’s too early too determine if the death is suspicious. Firefighters in a ladder truck extracted the body from the water.

Last weekend, a body was found near Lake Creek and the Allen Baca Center in Round Rock. Round Rock police at the time said they were not considering the death suspicious; the person appeared to be homeless and was camping out in the area.

The Round Rock Police department have identified the deceased person as 40-year-old Agustin Ortiz, Jr. who was reported missing earlier that day by a family member. Police said they do not believe the death is a result of foul play and the investigation is on-going.
