Top 5 videos on this week

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Striking video of a 22-year-old man climbing scaffolding on the Texas Capitol, breaking a window to enter the building and then throwing a Civil War-era governor’s portrait three floors down to the rotunda floor, was among the most watched videos on this week. The break-in placed renewed scrutiny on the security around the Capitol. One of the most read and viewed stories this week was an Elgin family’s announcement that their 13-year-old son died after contracting West Nile Virus. Cody Hopkins’ father talked to us about his doctors’ frustration that they couldn’t save him. The most viewed video this week was of a Round Rock mother shocked by white supremacist graffiti tagged on her property. “I would like for you [the people responsible] to come and meet my family that may be different from yours and for you to learnt that we have more in common than we do differences.”
