Semi-truck back on its wheels after dangling off I-35

ROUND ROCK (KXAN) — The semi-truck that was dangling off Interstate 35 has now been put back on its wheels after a close call in Round Rock.

All lanes of I-35 have reopened near McNeil Road. Tow trucks were able to free the semi-truck that was hanging off the McNeil Bridge around 4:50 a.m. It took crews five hours to remove the truck and then just 20 minutes to clear the scene.

Police say the driver lost control of the truck around midnight near the bridge causing it to jack knife, hit a pole on the center divider and go up on the guardrail. The driver is okay and uninjured.
