For almost 3 decades, the Elgin Hogeye Festival has been bringing people together for big pig fun. Theresa McShan stopped by the studio to share what the festival has to offer. From parades for the kiddos to BBQ pork cook-off and a road hog car show; there will be a fun ‘pigstivity’ for the whole family. Downtown Elgin will be hosting their 29th Annual Hogeye Festival on Saturday, October 29th from 10 to 6 P.M. Elgin is only 19 miles east of Austin. Pearls Before Swine Art Show will be spotlighting all Texas wines, and that will be on the Thursday before the festival. There will also be a new film festival premiering at the Hogeye Festival–tickets are $10 each or $15 for two. All the events at the Hogeye Festival are free and all ages are welcomed.
