AUSTIN (KXAN) — Before music fans shed a tear after the announcement that The Weeknd won’t be performing in Austin for Formula 1, they should first hear who is replacing him.

Peace up A-town, Usher is coming! He will be joined by The Roots, to headline the concert after the race at the Circuit of The Americas.

Usher and Taylor Swift headlining Formula 1

After announcing he would not be coming to Austin for Formula 1, The Weeknd released this statement, “It is with sincere regret that I am not able to perform at the 2016 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix this year. Playing a show for F1 is an incredible opportunity and I am absolutely certain that Taylor Swift and Usher & The Roots will provide all F1 fans with two unforgettable concerts.”

Taylor Swift is currently the biggest draw to the race performing on Saturday, Oct. 22. In the past headliners performed on Sunday, but COTA hopes more fans will buy tickets with big names on each day.

Three-day passes for the 2016 F1 USGP—which include access to the Taylor Swift concert on Saturday and the Usher concert on Sunday—start at $150. Sunday-only race tickets are now also available for $99.

The Roots are known as the band of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Usher has won eight Grammy Awards and has recently released his eighth studio album Hard II Love.

Last year, Elton John closed out the U.S. Grand Prix after a rainy weekend.
