AUSTIN (KXAN)- Crews with the Texas Gas Service have completed repairs to a broken gas line in downtown Austin.

The Austin Fire Department closed the section between Guadalupe and Nueces Streets and between 9th and 10th Streets around 10:30 a.m. Saturday after a construction crew hit a gas line at 9th and San Antonio Streets.

The Faulk Central Library was also closed and people inside were told to leave.

Crews made repairs to the gas line around 4:30 a.m. Sunday after isolating the leak and shutting the gas off.

Some customers may still be without gas as crews go around to affected areas to check meters.
