AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man is seriously injured Friday night after being stabbed in southeast Austin.

Austin-Travis County EMS say the man, in his 30s, has potentially serious injuries, but his condition is not expected to be life-threatening.

Police were called to the scene near the intersection of East Oltorf Street and Parker Lane at 8:52 p.m. Crime scene tape was seen blocking the parking lot of the 7-Eleven convenience store.

Austin police are investigating the incident.

In November 2015, KXAN interviewed a stabbing victim who was attacked near the same location as Friday’s stabbing. “He chased me. I got 14 stitches in my chest, two inches from my heart,” the man told us at the time.
