A Campy Cocktail for a Creative Cause

Who says kids get to have all the fun at camp? Before fall fully kicks in, Camp Contemporary gives the grownups a chance to experience a campy evening with all the food, fun and drinks you can handle in a beautiful setting. Tim Angelillo of Sourced Craft Cocktails was here to mix up one of the special spirits of the evening. Today, we made a nice refresher called The Lakeside. Served in a tall collins glass, this drink uses Tito’s Vodka, golden simple syrup, fresh lemon juice and cucumber. Tim told us that The Lakeside uses a custom made tall, rectangular block of ice that’s cut with a chainsaw and melts at the perfect rate. You can find Sourced Craft Cocktails among all the fun at Camp Contemporary on Sunday, October 16th from noon until five at Laguna Gloria. For tickets and information on the event go to the contemporaryaustin.org.
