KERRVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — A Texas 10-year-old has been hospitalized after he was severely burned this past weekend, according to WOAI. From his ears to stomach, Kayden Culp was burned over more than 20 percent of his body.
Kayden’s mother said he was playing with kids in a field when he was doused with gasoline and set on fire. The boy’s mother tells WOAI she believes the children planned the attack on her son but authorities are still investigating to determine if there was any foul play involved. She says while he has never been diagnosed, Kayden shows signs of being autistic.
A Kerrville city spokesperson told WOAI several children were playing when they started a fire, and one ended up being severely burned.
Kayden is at University Hospital in San Antonio where he is currently on life support.
