Fall in Love With This Autumnal Cocktail


Custom cocktails and a bar experience that’s just a bit elevated. That’s the idea behind She+Him bartending. Newlywed Taylor Bell is the she in the duo and stopped by Studio 512 to teach us more. We made a delicious drink called The Penicillin. We took 3/4ths of an ounce of honey and ginger simple syrup, 3/4ths of an ounce of lemon juice, 2-3 slices of muddled ginger and two ounces of bourbon. For our drink, we used Basil Hayden’s straight Kentucky bourbon. We filled the shaker with ice and then got our arms pumping for 10 seconds. When the shaker gets a little frosty, your drink is ready to go. Separate the drink with a strainer and add a single, large ice cube to the glass you’re drinking from. One large ice cube will melt slower and won’t water your drink down.
