It’s called the Mudstacle and will take place next weekend. Joining us in the KXAN studio is Gloria Gonzalez-Gholakia, the Executive Director of LEEF, the Leader ISD Education Excellence Foundation.

The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 8 at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park. It is open for all ages of runners or walkers. There are three course options: 1K, 2.5K or 5K.

The money raised goes towards LEEF, which uses the funds for classroom upgrades, textbook scholarships, AP exams and college readiness initiatives. Last year they raised over $54,000.
