AUSTIN (KXAN) — Gullett Elementary alumni, current teachers and students are getting together Saturday to celebrate the school’s 60 year anniversary.

The occasion will be marked with a carnival and a travel back in time, as the school’s cafeteria is transformed with old pictures and year books, nostalgic music and refreshments.

At 2 p.m., City Council Representative Leslie Pool will be on hand to read and present the official City Proclamation- making Saturday, September 24, 2016 “Gullett Elementary Day” in Austin.

Wristbands will be sold for $25, good for all rides, games, drinks, snacks and popcorn with the exception of food sold by vendors.
