AUSTIN (KXAN) — While it is the last day of summer, hot temperatures won’t leave the forecast until we melt in the heat once more.

Don’t worry, you just might be able to break out those autumn scarves to go with your pumpkin spice latte by next week.

  1. Rising number of inappropriate student-teacher relationships in Texas: Nude pictures of a student were found on a former Vista Ridge High School teacher’s computer. That is just one of the rising number of cases being investigated by the TEA.
  2. Police use social media to find girl wanted in 4 armed robberies: She walked into an Austin ice cream shop and told an employee “I want your money or you’re going to die.” The same suspect is also accused of robbing three Walgreens stores over the weekend.
  3. Driver cited for getting 18-wheeler stuck on I-35 bridge: The truck was driving eastbound when it became stuck at around 2:49 p.m. Austin police say the 18-wheeler was lodged underneath the overpass. The driver of the big rig was cited for not having an over-height permit.

National News: Charlotte, North Carolina quiet now after police shooting protest overnight.
