New Music Hits the Shelves at Waterloo Records

Patrick Floyd from Waterloo Records came by to hangout with us, and talk what’s new on the shelves at Waterloo. We chatted new music like Willie Nelson’s tribute to Ray Price. Willie Nelson was in Ray Price’s band and got his start that way. Dwight Yoakam is also coming out with new bluegrass arrangements in an album called “Swimmin’ Pool, Movie Stars” which will be different from what we are used to and focus more on the voice. Reckless Kelly is an Austin favorite band that recorded their new record “Sunset Motel” right in town. Lastly, new music from Billy Bragg and Joe Henry will take people to the train station. The recordings from this album were made on trains, platforms and waiting rooms during a 65 hour trip. You can stop by Waterloo Records on North Lamar to pick up any of the new releases listed above or check them out at provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
