Woman who died in southwest Austin motorcycle crash identified

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman who died Monday following a motorcycle crash in southwest Austin has been identified.

Jessica Port, 32, was riding a motorcycle east in the 6800 block of Southwest Parkway when a van turned left in front of her. Port crashed into the van and was taken to South Austin Medical Center where she later died.

At around 6:13 p.m. Monday, Austin-Travis County EMS tweeted that medics were performing CPR on Port.

Police say she wearing a helmet at the of the crash and intoxication is not being investigated as a factor.

Anyone with information on the collision is asked to call the APD Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-5594.
