AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Court Appointed Special Advocates across the city held their annual Superhero Run Sunday morning.

More than 3,300 adults, children and dogs dressed up superheroes to raise money for children who have been abused or neglected.

The race began with a 5K, following up with a 1K for kids and closing the run with a “superhero dance party” and the awards ceremony.

This year, CASA beat their goal of $65,000 by raising over $76,000 since registration.

The money will support CASA programs in Travis County, Williamson County and Central Texas.
