Travis County Sheriff’s kick off “National Night Out”

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) — In hopes of bringing the community together, the Travis County Sheriff’s hosted their 2nd annual National Night Out Kick-Off Saturday afternoon.

TCSO along with community law enforcement gathered at Northtown Park to discuss about to nationwide event, neighborhood watch and community policing.

SWAT, police motorcycles, a lake patrol boat and a Special Response Team trailer was on site to talk about the units. In addition, the the Auto Theft Task Force gave free VIN etching on vehicles, the COPS Unit provided free ID kids for kids and recruiting representatives were at the event to talk about employment opportunities.

National Night Out is part of an annual campaign that helps build relationships with police and neighborhoods to promote safe communities.
